The Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) has invited a teacher with the Greater Lafayette Career Academy to its new teacher symposium during its annual conference in Arizona. Hayley Grisez is one of 20 teachers from throughout the country to be selected to attend the event.

Grisez, a manufacturing and automotive instructor, says this is an opportunity to generate new ideas and design new projects for her classes. She’s honored to have been selected: “Attending this conference shows enthusiasm for the field of CTE (Career and Technical Education) and excitement to grow with rapidly evolving industries.”

Grisez is a graduate of Purdue University where she participated in the Purdue Grand Prix and served as a member of the Honors College Racing crew.

Grisez hopes attending the conference will help her turn her ideas into reality. “I hope to be better equipped to grow my programs and provide the best experience for students, helping them to be skilled, knowledgeable, and prepared for the challenges ahead of them in life and the workforce,” says Grisez.
