AES Restaurant Group donated $20,000 to Harrison High School and McCutcheon High School as part of its 20th anniversary celebration. AES owns 187 Arby’s restaurants in 16 states, including four in the Lafayette area..

The local Arby’s franchisee awarded a total of $80,000 to the four local public high schools as part of its Day of Giving celebration. AES Restaurant Group Founder John Wade wanted to mark the anniversary by giving back to the community where it all started.

“On behalf of the Harrison community, it is heartwarming to know that organizations such as the AES Restaurant Group care deeply about our students and their futures,” says Principal Cory Marshall. “This donation will make a significant impact on our school community by helping us provide equipment, supplies and support for our students. The kindness and generosity of the AES Restaurant Foundation is instrumental in ensuring our students have the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.”

“McCutcheon High School is very grateful for the support of community organizations, including the AES Restaurant Group,” says Principal Gloria Grigsby. “The Mavericks have been fortunate to work alongside our local businesses and believe a strong partnership builds community and opportunity. The MHS staff and students will share their input on how to best spend the funds so all Mavericks can benefit from this generous donation and we can enhance the learning environment of McCutcheon.”

“It was incredibly important to us to thank the Lafayette area for all of their support throughout the past 20 years,” says Wade. “By donating to these local high schools, we are supporting the future of this community—the community who has given us so much.”
