The Indiana School Mental Health Initiative (ISMHI) named TSC’s Anne Marshall as its Educator of the Year. Marshall serves the district as a Neuro Educator, Instructional Coach. 

The organization presented the award to Marshall January 19 during the Whole Child Summit in Indianapolis. The criteria for the award includes evidence of personal commitment to the development and growth of colleagues and students and significant contributions to the education field, school district and community.

Marshall has been in education for 28 years and holds a bachelor’s degree from Hanover College, a master’s from Ball State University and an Applied Educational Neuroscience Certification from Butler University. In her current role, Marshall works alongside teachers and students to apply neuroscience behavioral strategies in the classroom. 

“Her passion for educational neuroscience and the impact it has had on student and staff achievement has been tremendous,” says Director of Student Services Dr. BeAnn Younker. “We applaud the positive impact she is having in our district and beyond.”

The ISMHI is a project of the Indiana Resource Center for Autism and the Institute on Disability and Community at Indiana University.
