Good evening Battle Ground friends and families!
What a spectacular week we had. The music concerts were outstanding. Congratulations to Mrs. Zwolanek and Mr. Hopkins as well as all the students who participated. A huge thanks to our Battle Ground Student Council for the fun filled Friday social. I believe the students had a great time dancing and playing basketball.
This week we will hold our regularly scheduled AHT (After School Homework Tables). They will be on Monday and Thursday from 2:30-3:30 pm. Teachers will notify all parents through email if your student qualifies. Remember this is for any student who has accumulated 4 or more missing assignments in any one class or a student who is missing a major project. Mr. Glynn and I as well as many of our teachers will be there to help students complete assignments. If you would like for your child to stay even if they are not recommended by a teacher, you can contact me to let me know you will pick your student up.
Attention Choir Students:
If you participated in the fundraiser (Butterbraids), those orders will be in this week. You must pick them up the day they come in because we do not have any place to store them. The butterbraids must be kept frozen.
Message from Mrs. Z: Thank you to everyone who sold and/or purchased butterbraids to support our BGMS choir program! Butterbraids will be delivered on Tues. Mar. 20 in the choir room. Pick-up is from 1:00 - 3:30 p.m. Students are allowed to take their boxes home on the bus, but please check your child's order and plan accordingly. There are 6-7 butterbraids per box, and the box sizes are 6'' X 10'' X 4''.
All butterbraids will need to go back in a freezer no later than 4:00 p.m. We are not able to store butterbraids that are not picked up, and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
This is the last week prior to Spring Break. Remember that Spring Break is March 26th-30th. The building will be closed over break. Students and staff will return on Monday, April 2nd, 2018. Once we return we will have just a few short weeks left prior to beginning the ISTEP+ Part 2. We will send the schedule closer to the dates.
Attention 8th grade students
Harrison High school is holding a Rowing call-out on Friday April 6th for eighth graders only in the library during homeroom. If you are interested in trying a unique and exciting sport over the summer or would just like to be a part of a Harrison club, please consider coming. Boys and girls are welcome, more information will be given at the call-out.
Take care and have a great evening and Spring Break. The next weekly information message will go out April 1, 2018.
